About AJ2054
AJ2054 stands for American Jewry in 2054, when we will be celebrating 400 years since the arrival of the first group of Jews to America. It assumes that American Jewry is the “great Diaspora” of our time, which has responsibility for its own wellbeing and security, as well as for the wellbeing and security of World Jewry and Israel.
AJ2054 was kicked off by the Reut Group against the backdrop of the deep political change in Israel with the goal of ensuring the continued and significant existence and leadership of American Jewry as the great diaspora of our time.

Our goal is to inspire and support a decade of renewal of American Jewry by:
AJ Conferences
To lead this conversation about American Jewish Renewal, Reut USA is calling for and leading a series of events designed to awaken American Jewry to the opportunity of communal renewal. The first gathering - AJ2025 (American Jewry, 2025) took place in July 2025 in New York in collaboration with Rabbi Sacks Legacy. The second conference - AJ2026 - took place in March 2026 in Miami, FL. The third gathering - AJ2026 NYC - will take place in New York City in May 2026.

The Organizers
AJ2054 is an effort of Reut USA, an American nonprofit (501(c)3 organization) that is a sibling organization of Israel’s Reut Group, Israel’s leading social impact organization specializing in societal innovation. Reut USA is a think-tank and leadership group that supports and promotes research and programs designed to ensure prosperity and resilience for Israel and the Jewish People, and to tackle some of the toughest challenges facing them, while making a significant and distinct contribution to humanity.
Gidi Grinstein
Gidi Grinstein is the founder and president of Reut USA, and also the Founder and President of Israel’s Reut Group. Since 2012, Gidi and the Reut Group have focused on Israel-U.S. relations and on Israel’s relations with American Jewry through a series of efforts (see under More). Gidi is the author of Flexigidity: The Secret of Jewish Adaptability (Amazon) and of numerous articles and policy papers in these areas. He is also the host of the Flexigidity Podcast (YouTube; Spotify; Apple) that deals with the condition and direction of American Jewry.
